A Bathroom Your Guests Will Enjoy
Creating a cozy guest bathroom that your guests will love is something that we all can agree can be a stressful thing weeks leading up to your company arriving. We always want to make sure that guests have everything they need, that they’re comfortable in our home, and of course that the space looks pretty to the eye. We don’t have company over to stay the night often, but when we do, I always like to be prepared ahead of time.
My rule of thumb is to make sure they have more than they might need. What I mean by that is- I always include a basket of extra towels, a jar of cu-tips & cotton balls, and a small travel size mirror. I will also include a little basket of washcloths, women’s toiletries, and extra toilet paper in the storage closet. You can never be too prepared LOL.
Now onto the fun decor stuff! Finding a pretty shower curtain is the first thing I always do. I like to use the shower curtain as my base for the rest of the decor in the space. I guide my decision based on the season of the year. If it’s summer, I will choose a bright fun shower curtain. If it’s winter, I will choose a solid color (usually white) that can go with my winter colors like red and white with pops of green and gold.
After I choose a shower curtain, I then choose the towel color to match. I typically choose white towels. They are super easy to match with most decor, and they look really pretty. If you don’t like white towels, opt for another color that matches your shower curtain. I like to have the same color wash cloths and hand towel as well so that it’s a cohesive look.
After I’ve chosen the shower curtain and towel color- I stuff my towel basket and wash cloth basket with the towels. Get a hand soap to match. Fill my clear jars with cu-tips & cotton balls. And voila! That’s really all there is to it. My cozy guest bathroom is complete and ready for guests to come over.
