Finding the right couch for your home can often pose quite the challenge. Depending on what you’re looking for, the search could send you into many different stores sitting and testing out couches, only to leave the decision even harder than when you started. If top-quality comfort is your main objective in searching for a couch, then I would definitely recommend going to the store and trying out couches that match your decor style. For me personally, I wanted a couch that fit my space and looked pretty first and foremost. The comfort would just be an added bonus (haha).
After searching far and wide online for a “white couch” and reading endless amounts of reviews, I decided on the IKEA Ektorp Sofa in white. It met all of my checkboxes, and is budget friendly! When we first moved into this home, I wanted a couch and two chairs for the living room space. Unfortunately, that set up just didn’t work with the shape of the room, so I decided on getting two full size couches instead. I chose the two full size couches over a sectional so that I could put a lamp and table in between. It’s just what works best for this space with the layout, windows, and functionality.
The IKEA Ektorp Sofa is such a pretty, clean, and simple look. It isn’t an overly large couch which is extremely nice for a smaller space like we have. I also absolutely love the look of white couches, but what I love most about these in particular is that I can take off the cover and wash it when it’s dirty. With kids and a dog running around, being able to wash the cover is a necessity.
I wouldn’t say the sofa is the most comfy sofa I’ve ever laid on, but it is definitely comfy enough to lounge on for a few hours and binge watch my favorite TV shows (I’m only dreaming). FYI- My husband is 6’2” and he finds the couches comfortable enough as well.
If you’re looking for a couch that is pretty, functional, affordable, and easy to clean, then I would definitely recommend the IKEA Ektorp. Like I said, it’s a great option for a smaller space, and it adds a simple clean look that fits many different decor tastes/styles.
Happy Shopping!
