Master Bedroom Makeover Design Details

That’s a wrap on our master bedroom makeover/design and I LOVE how it turned out! It’s amazing what a fresh bright airy color and a few little additions here and there can do to make a room feel so happy and cozy all at the same time.

For the wall color I chose Cloudy Gray by Magnolia Home. It’s a tried and true color- I have it in both bathrooms and on our kitchen shiplap, and I love it so much. It’s a very light gray, so light that it’s almost white.

We ran board up the back wall behind the bed to give it some definition and a fun texture. We do already have tall ceilings in our master bedroom (13ft I think?), but I love the look of running the board vertically to make a wall look even taller!

We have very small night stands, so a lamp sitting on them was taking up so much room. Almost to the point of making them not functional, so I decided to go with a wall lamp to add more space on the nightstand. Plus, I love the look of a wall lamp! I chose the IKEA Flugbo wall lamps(IKEA Lamps). I love the look of them with the gold accent, and major bonus because they are under $20 each!

Our Bed from Wayfair is a good affordable option for a fabric headboard and frame. It’s a great option for a smaller bedroom because it’s not big and bulky. We have the king size.

I could not find our exact curtains online, but here are a few similar options in price/color. I love the pop of color they add to the neutral tones I have elsewhere in the room.

Our Chandelier is from Lowes (click here). It’s a beaded look which I love. We also have the flush mount version to the chandelier in the master bathroom. It all ties in really well.

I was not able to find out exact bedding online, however I did find a similar option (picture link below) at Target that is really pretty!

Voila! That about sums it up for styling and decor in our master bedroom makeover! I used some books I already had laying around, as well as a glass vase with some faux greenery, and a candle, to add some color to our nightstands.

That’s all there is to it! I like to keep my decorating simple and clean, and not at all cluttered. This makes it easy to switch things up and add additions for the changing seasons.
